The Senegalese city of Thiès has found itself at the heart of a diplomatic row after Russia boasted of a successful meeting with its Mayor Babacar Diop. Rumour has it that the discussions focused on the prospects of a partnership between Thiès and the Russian held, Ukrainian city of Sevastopol. Ukraine has accused Mayor Babacar Diop of cooperating with terrorists. FRANCE 24’s Sam Bradpiece reports from Dakar, Senegal.
