Ibadan: Rep. Aderemi Oseni (APC-Oyo) has distributed 5,206 bags of fertilisers to farmers in the Ibarapa East Federal Constituency. The distribution took place in Ibadan as part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to enhance agricultural productivity and improve the livelihoods of local farmers.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Oseni, who serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), emphasized that this initiative is part of broader efforts to support citizens. He highlighted the significance of this program in fulfilling President Tinubu’s agenda of alleviating poverty and promoting national prosperity, particularly in the agricultural sector.

Oseni expressed optimism about the positive impact of the fertiliser distribution on the community’s agricultural success. He assured that farmers had been sufficiently educated about the importance of using the fertilisers effectively in their farming activities. He also advised the beneficiaries to utilize the fertilisers wisely and not to sell them, promising continued advocacy for better living conditions for the farmers.

Dr. Florence Omonele, Oyo State Coordinator of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, represented by Mrs. Folake Abdu-Lateef, also urged farmers to ensure proper application of the fertilisers. The beneficiaries expressed gratitude towards Oseni, acknowledging that the support would alleviate their challenges and boost productivity.

The event witnessed the presence of APC officials, traditional leaders, and community group representatives, underscoring the collaborative effort to support the agricultural community in Oyo.
