President Ghani Asks Armed Opposition To Join Peace Talk Or Face Elimination

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, after performing Eid-ul-Fitr prayer at the presidential palace congregational mosque, appeared in a media conference to ask the armed oppositions to abandon war and join peace process, his office said in a statement on Tuesday. The president, according to the statement, strongly condemned terrorists attack on the Haramain Al-Sharifain and said: “Terrorism knows no boundary and this is our responsibility to defend the two holiest sites.” He also thanked the country’s security and defense forces for their strong stay in the front line of war to take security of their citizens during the three days of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Meantime, the president thanked the Kabul citizens for their constructive consultation about various issues and pledged to share the prepared plan on the development project of the capital with the people. “Peace is the main willing of the people and during our talks with the Chinese minster of foreign, we talked with him about peace and security of Afghanistan and joint war on terrorism.” The president asked armed oppositions to join peace process or would be eliminated by the country’s security forces, as he said Afghanistan has support from the people, international community and Muslim world. He added that his administration was seeking solution to all problems through consultation and planning and wanted a tranquil and welfare Afghanistan. In a separate meeting with the country’s president chief and members of Ulama Council of Afghanistan, said that terrorism knows no boundary and recognizes no values as they target innocent people everywhere; inside the mosques, worship places, banks as recently a number of security forces were killed and injured during a terrorist attack in Helmand province, while waiting for turn to take their salaries in a Kabul Bank provincial agency.
The president pointed to the last year’s terrorist attack on Madina al-Munawara and this year to another attack on Makka al-Mukarrama, saying they recognizes no borders and no values. Other speakers also spoke about the religious scholars’ remarks against sedition and immorality through a joint media and Ulama discussion concerning analysis about Imam Abu Hanifa and Jafar-e-Saidq thoughts and opinions in 34 provinces of the country. Congratulating Eid-ul-Fitr to the religious scholars, the president welcomed the suggestion of the religious scholars sand pointed to the terrorist attack on Makka al-Mukarrama and said they  proved that don’t know any borders and pay no regard to the ISlaic teachings and moralities and the prophet characteristics.
The president said a conference should be held to discuss idea and reflection of Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq and popularize them in the 34 provinces of the country, as he said they had joint opinion of a united Muslim Umma and society. The president said in the national discussion, talks should be rendered about the system, stability and the country’s constitution, and this should be chanted into a lasting process. He asked the religious scholars to jointly step up in focusing on the Juma prayers’ sermons and some issues should sustainably be shared with the people about the unity of thoughts and actions.
