NSP Foundation Donates Essential Food Supplies to Flood Victims in Niger


Minna: The North South Power Foundation (NSPF) has extended a helping hand to the flood victims in Mokwa, Niger State, by donating essential food items worth millions of Naira. This relief effort comes in response to the recent flood disaster that has severely impacted the community, leading to loss of lives and extensive property damage.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Mr. Hassan Abdullahi, Consultant on Corporate Social Responsibility for the foundation, announced the donation while officially handing over the items to the Niger State government in Minna. He expressed the organization’s condolences to the affected families and emphasized the foundation’s commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by the displaced families.



The relief package donated by the NSPF includes 50 bags of 25kg rice, 50 bags of 25kg beans, 50 bags of 10kg semovita, and 50 cartons of spaghetti. Additionally, the donation comprises 50 bags of salt, 50 cartons of Maggi, 50 gallons of 5kg Kings vegetable oil, and 50 gallons of 5kg palm oil. Mr. Abdullahi highlighted the foundation’s ongoing efforts in corporate social responsibility, revealing that over N1 billion has been spent on such initiatives within its host communities in Shiroro and Munya, including support for internally displaced persons (IDPs).



Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed, the Commissioner for Humanitarian and Disaster Management, received the donation on behalf of the state government and expressed gratitude towards the foundation’s efforts and concern for the affected community. He assured that the relief items would be promptly delivered to the flood victims in Mokwa.
