The minister of State for Social Affairs, Dalva Ringote, defended this week in Paris, France, the importance of Africa being united for the development of education, science and culture for children.

Dalva Ringote was speaking at the opening of the “African Week at UNESCO 2023” being held in the French capital, at a time when Angola holds the annual African presidency of this world organisation, since January 30.

During her speech, the Angolan official said she expects that the event would serve as a basis for reflection with a view to the development of Africa.

The Angolan delegation to the event includes the ambassador to France, Guilhermina Prata, and the Permanent Representative to UNESCO, Ana Maria de Oliveira.

The delegation includes the Minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa, and the secretaries of State for Culture, Maria de Jesus, for Technical and Professional Education, Gildo Matias and for Higher Education, Eugénio Adolfo Alves da Silva, besides the governor of Cabinda, Mara Baptista Quiosa.
