Shanghai: Mr. Wang Genxiang, the Director of CIFAL Shanghai International Training Centre, emphasized the potential of high-tech industries to revolutionize traditional sectors during a seminar in Shanghai. The event, which focused on High-tech Industry and Innovative Development, welcomed participants from ‘Belt and Road’ countries.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Wang highlighted that the integration of new technologies, processes, and materials can significantly enhance production efficiency, product quality, and reduce energy consumption in traditional industries. He noted that the expansion of high-tech industries could lead to the emergence of new sectors, invigorating economic development.
Wang described technology as the primary force and innovation as the primary driver of development. He stressed that high-tech industries, known for their high value-added and growth potential, are essential engines for economic expansion. As technological advancements continue, these industries are expected to generate new market demands, stimulating related industrial chains and fostering overall economic growth.
Representing CIFAL Shanghai International Training Centre, Wang welcomed 31 participants from 11 countries to the seminar and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce for their support. He highlighted the centre’s dedication to delivering high-quality programmes since its designation as an implementing organization for China Aid Training programmes in 2009. To date, 128 programmes have been conducted, benefiting over 3,506 officials, experts, and technicians from 137 countries and regions worldwide.
Wang assured that the seminar would provide participants with valuable insights into cutting-edge technologies such as big data, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and Artificial Intelligence, along with their applications in high-tech industries.
Mr. Atwooki Byaruhanga, representing the participants, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn from China’s high-tech industry experiences. He acknowledged the importance of the high-tech sector as a global economic driver and expressed hope that the knowledge gained from the seminar would be applied in their respective countries to further develop the high-tech industry.
