Egypt, Angola crowned champions in Handball at the 13th Africa Games


Egypt’s men and Angola’s women were crowned champions of the 13th edition of the African Games held at the Borteyman Sports Complex in Accra.

Egypt the current African Handball champions defeated DR Congo 33-32 to pick the gold medal, whilst Nigeria also beat Benin 38-20 for the third and fourth place respectively.

In the women’s categories, Angola remained unbeaten in this competition by defeating Burkina Faso 47 -13, Ghana 35 -13, Algeria 38-18 at the beginning of the competition, and defeated DR Congo 33 – 15 to emerged winners.

Cameroon defeated Algeria 29 – 21 for the third and fourth place respectively.
