Drydocks World the leading provider of maritime and offshore services to the shipping, oil, gas and energy sectors has received the Dubai Chamber Corporate Social Responsibility Label for the third year in a row in recognition of the company’s efforts and contributions to excellence in various areas of social responsibility.
In 2016 a new CSR committee was formed with goals and objectives set in place to expand employee’s horizons in awareness programs & volunteering for charitable causes. As part of this new initiative knowledge sharing sessions were given to employees interested in learning about certain trade’s different activities. Drydocks World’s medical team has championed many initiatives towards employees and society such as organizing a blood donation campaign. Employees are encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities, promoting volunteering opportunities in cooperation with charitable organizations such as Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities and donating winter clothing to Refugees via Emirates Red Crescent.
Drydocks World participated in “Earth Hour 2016,” a global event held annually advocating turning off power for one hour. The initiative aims to raise awareness on the dangers of climate change and to spread a message of conserving electricity and reducing gas emissions. Drydocks World participated and recorded savings in electrical energy reaching 1,210 KW-Hour.
