Bangladesh gets early breakthrough after Pakistan opts to bat

Brilliant half-centuries from Mohammad Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad have guided Pakistan to a daunting 201/5 against Bangladesh in their World Twenty20 Super 10 match.

A superb late cameo from Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi (49 off 19 balls) complemented the knocks from the top order at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Bangladesh bowlers had a tough time scoping out the right areas to bowl as the batsmen kept their foot on the gas all through the innings on a flat surface.

After Pakistan elected to bat first, Hafeez (64) and Shehzad (52) paired in a blazing 95-run stand off 68 deliveries for the second wicket to help their team post the highest World T20 total.
