Rome: The Lazio regional government announced on Thursday that there are currently 20 cases of West Nile Virus in the region that includes Rome, following the detection of 12 new cases.
According to Ansa News Agency, all the cases have been identified in the province of Latina, situated south of Rome. This brings the total number of cases to 21, including an 82-year-old woman who succumbed to the disease over the weekend.
